Solium Capital Inc. Appoints New Director
CALGARY, January 4, 2007 — Solium Capital Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of James Aramanda to its Board of Directors. Mr. Aramanda brings substantial expertise to the Board through his experience in the financial services industry.
Mr. Aramanda has also been appointed as a member of the Audit Committee and the Governance and Human Resources Committee. These Committees consist of three independent directors, being Messrs. James Aramanda, Michael Broadfoot and Anthony Webb.
Mr. Aramanda has spent 33 years in the financial services industry in various executive roles. Mr. Aramanda most recently held the role of Group President of ADP Corporation where he was responsible for the Brokerage, Dealer Services, and Claims Processing businesses. Prior to joining ADP, Mr. Aramanda spent twenty-five years with
Mellon Financial Corporation in numerous senior executive roles including President of RM Trust Company in Canada (a joint venture between Royal Trust and Mellon Financial), President and CEO of ChaseMellon Investor Services and President and CEO of Mellon Investor Services. He concluded his career at Mellon Financial as Vice
Chairman responsible for the Payment Solutions and Investor Services Sector and was a member of Mellon’s Executive Committee.

In connection with this appointment, Solium has granted to Mr. Aramanda 50,000 stock options exercisable until January 4, 2012 at an exercise price of $1.50 per share.
