There may even be a story about us accepting partial payment in beer from one of our earliest clients, Big Rock Brewery.

Solium’s leadership team has decades of experience in the share plan administration and technology industries. Our qualified and diversely talented team steers the company’s direction and strategy, allowing us to continually offer the most innovative solutions and services to our clients.
Brian served as Solium’s President and Chief Executive Officer from 2002 to 2006, and has been on the Board of Directors since 2001. Brian currently serves as a Director and Executive Chairman. Prior to joining Solium full-time, Brian founded and was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Stormworks Ltd., a privately held e-business services company that was acquired by Solium in 2002. Brian is a principal at a Calgary-based venture capital company, Adventure Capital. Through this vehicle, Brian invests in many early-stage companies, including energy and technology startups. Brian has gained board and audit committee experience at several public and privately-held companies.
A Cambridge University graduate, Mike had 15 years of experience in international employee share plans both at Linklaters and Deloitte before setting up GlobalSharePlans in 2006. Mike has personally advised hundreds of multinational companies on the introduction and implementation of their international share plans and is an expert on global due diligence and international regulatory and tax issues. Mike has a refreshing and practical approach to global compliance and is a regular contributor to the Spanish Chapter of the GEO as well as a regular speaker at the GEO, ESOP Centre, IFS Proshare and NASPP conferences.
Martin joined the Solium EMEA Leadership Team in July 2016. He has over 25 years of share plan experience and previously was the Managing Director and driving force of Killik Employee Services; a very successful discretionary share plan administrator, before it was acquired by a competitor in 2013. Martin is an innovative forward thinker with a reputation of delivering an industry beating service proposition to world class issuers.
Steve joined Solium in July 2014 and has worked within the employee share plan industry since 1998, including time as the share plan manager for J. Sainsbury plc. A senior operations manager, Steve has experience in managing all aspects of employee equity administration and has worked in partnership with some of the largest multinational companies on the FTSE 100 and Dow Top 30. He has a proven track record in delivering service excellence to his clients by creating high performing operations teams.
Iain joined our Leadership Team in January 2017. He brings with him 20 years’ experience of building share plan businesses through organic growth, acquisition and the innovation and development of award-winning products. Most recently Commercial Director of Computershare in EMEA, Iain has a reputation for developing client-focused teams that build long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with their clients.
June has been a driving force at Solium since she joined the company in 2000. As the Head, EMEA Trust & Nominee Services, she is part of the core team focused on expanding Solium’s market presence in Europe. During her tenure at Solium, June has been responsible for building the company’s operational infrastructure in North America, the UK and Australia. In her role as Executive Vice President, Business Integration, she oversaw strategic partner integration and directed the customer service experience in each of the locations where she was based. June’s career has spanned 30 years dedicated to the share plans business with extensive experience working with global and multinational plans. June serves as a Board Director of the Global Equity Organisation and is a frequent speaker on global remuneration issues in both North America and Europe. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in business management from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland.
